How to Update E-Wallet

This guide shows you how to update E-Wallet to the newest version.

Before You Update

Make a Backup First!

Always save a copy of your website before updating. Ask your hosting provider if you need help.

If you bought the plugin and activated your license:

  1. Go to AdminPlugins
  2. Find E-Wallet in the list
  3. Click the Update button
  4. Wait for it to finish
  5. Go to AdminPlatform AdministrationCache management
  6. Click Clear all CMS cache

That's it! You're done.

After Updating

Quick Check

Make sure everything still works:

Check ThisHow to Test
Admin dashboardGo to E-Wallet menu - does it load?
Customer walletsCan you see wallet balances?
TransactionsIs the history still there?
SettingsCan you access the settings page?

Test a Transaction

If you want to be extra sure:

  1. Log in as a test customer
  2. Try adding a small amount to the wallet
  3. Try making a small purchase with wallet
  4. Check that everything appears correctly

Having Problems?

Page looks broken or old

Clear the cache:

  1. Go to AdminPlatform AdministrationCache management
  2. Click Clear all CMS cache
  3. Also clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete)

Something not working

  1. Check our Troubleshooting Guide
  2. See if there are known issues in Release Notes
  3. Contact support if you need help

Need to go back to old version

If the update caused problems and you have a backup:

  1. Contact your hosting provider or developer
  2. They can restore from your backup

  • Your E-Wallet version number
  • What's not working
  • Any error messages you see
  • Screenshot of the problem (if possible)
